What we collect

If you subscribe to the newsletter, we store the email address you give us, so we can send you the newsletter. Nothing else about you is required to read this site.

Analytics

We do not set any analytics cookies. We use Vercel Web Analytics and Vercel Speed Insights, both of which are cookieless. Nothing is stored on your device and nothing is read back from it, so you are not tracked from one visit to the next and not followed across other websites.

Web Analytics records which pages were viewed, roughly where in the world the request came from, and what kind of device and browser it was. Visits are counted using a value derived from the request itself and discarded daily, rather than an identifier kept in your browser. Speed Insights records how quickly pages loaded.

When you click a product link we record one event: which product, which guide, and where on the page the link sat. That tells us which recommendations are useful. It does not include who you are, the destination address, or anything about a purchase — we never see what you buy, only that a link was clicked.

Because none of this stores or reads information on your device, and none of it identifies you, it does not require a cookie consent banner. We chose the cookieless option deliberately for that reason. If that ever changes, this page changes first and you will be asked.

Affiliate links

When you click a product link, the retailer may set a cookie so they can attribute a purchase to Byte Sized Gifts. That cookie is theirs, and their privacy policy governs it.

Email

Newsletter addresses are stored with our email provider and used only to send the newsletter. Every email includes a one-click unsubscribe link.

Your rights

You can ask what we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted. Use the contact form and we will action it.
